As Uganda becomes less food secure for a variety of reasons, it is essential for local communities and young people to access skills to enable them to understand and practice food production in environmentally friendly ways which do not further damage already depleted soils or endanger other species in the neighbouring local resources.
Food forests produce an abundance of food and supplies while restoring a healthy forest ecosystem.
Together with his team,they are helping communities to design and build natural ecosystems full of life,that looks after themselves,just like a forest which contains indigenous vegetables, organic foods and trees of their choosing.
Mother nature has fed us,clothed and sheltered us for most of our relatively short existence on the planet. We have lost our reverence for nature, our belief in connection to all living things, and our sense of harmony with our surroundings.
We have planted Over 180,000 fruit and energy source trees,perennial and medicinal plants and vegetable in small scale climate smart,nutrition sensitive permanent gardens with over thousands of youth,women and men trained in Uganda.
Our main goal is planting 5 million trees as we train house holds and community groups on how they can improve the soil, grow organic foods,save the bee population, restore ecosystems and create more habitat for wildlife.
Any donations big or small will absolutely help them go along way in saving mother earth and in helping people to be able to feed themselves in the future by planting and growing fruit trees,medicinal plants and trees as the learn how to create climate smart permanent vegetable gardens in Uganda.
