The critical goal: raising $7,500 to help cover Liskar's 2026 health insurance

Our beloved friend Liskar Oyer, a devoted mother to Santiago (15) and Ámbar (13), and loving wife to Balmore is facing the greatest challenges of her life.

After recovering from brain tumor surgery, our dear friend Liskar Oyer continues,  with admirable courage, her  fight against a metastatic leiomyosarcoma that has now spread to her kidneys, lungs

and vertebra.

Those of us blessed to know her see in Liskar an endless source of inspiration. Her strength and joy in the midst of adversity shine brightly. Even on the hardest days, she keeps working, fighting, and loving her family with all her heart. That combination of love, humor, and faith is part of her light — a light she has always invited us to share when she says: “You are a sun, never dim.”

Today, more than ever, Liskar needs all of us to shine with her. We cannot remove her illness, but we can give her real and urgent access to the best doctors, treatments, and medical resources available in her fight against Cancer.

The critical goal: raising $7,500 to cover her 2026 health insurance.

This is the most immediate and decisive need. Without health insurance, Liskar cannot access specialized care. With her insurance active, Vanderbilt Hospital activates a financial assistance program that covers 100% of her chemotherapy drugs and medications — amounts that reach tens of thousands of dollars. The only requirement to receive this support is that Liskar maintains her health insurance coverage.

Many friends and family members have already given generously. If you are able, we invite you to consider an additional contribution at this stage. At the same time, we hope this effort reaches beyond our immediate circle so that other people, communities, and organizations can learn about Liskar’s story and join this act of solidarity.

During this season of Advent and Christmas, as we celebrate God’s love through the gift of the Christ Child, we invite you to help make a small but meaningful miracle possible: ensuring that Liskar has health insurance coverage for 2026, thus bringing peace of mind and spirit to her and her family.

La meta crítica: recaudar $7,500 para cubrir el seguro médico de Liskar para el año 2026

Nuestra querida amiga Liskar Oyer, madre devota de Santiago (15) y Ámbar (13), y esposa amorosa de Balmore, enfrenta el reto más grande de su vida. 

Luego de recuperarse de una delicada operación de un tumor cerebral, nuestra querida amiga Liskar ahora enfrenta, con valentía admirable, una lucha contra cancer de leiomiosarcoma metastásico en riñones, pulmones y vértebra.

Quienes tenemos la bendición de conocerla sabemos que Liskar es una fuente inagotable de inspiración. Su fortaleza y su alegría en medio de la adversidad nos iluminan. Aun en los días más duros, Liskar sigue trabajando, luchando y amando profundamente a su familia. Esa mezcla de amor, buen humor y fe es parte de su luz —una luz que siempre nos ha invitado a compartir cuando nos dice: “Eres un sol, nunca te apagues.”

Hoy, más que nunca, Liskar necesita que todos nosotros brillemos fuertemente para ella. No tenemos la capacidad de eliminar su cancer, pero sí la oportunidad real y urgente de hacer posible su acceso a los mejores médicos, tratamientos y recursos en su lucha contra  el cancer.

Esta es la necesidad más urgente y significativa. Sin seguro, de salud Liskar no podría recibir atención especializada. Con el seguro activo, el Hospital Vanderbilt activa un programa financiero que cubre el 100% del costo de las drogas de quimioterapias y medicamentos —montos que ascienden a decenas de miles de dólares. La única condición para recibir ese apoyo es que Liskar mantenga su seguro de salud.

Muchos amigos y familiares ya han brindado apoyo con enorme generosidad. Si te es posible, te invitamos a considerar una contribución adicional en esta nueva etapa. Al mismo tiempo, queremos que este esfuerzo llegue más allá de nuestro círculo inmediato para que muchas otras personas puedan conocer la historia de Liskar y unirse a este acto de apoyo y solidaridad.
