Hello, my name is Hanzala Shahid and I am a college student residing in California. I am raising this fundraiser for the deprived, ill, and poor people of Pakistan. During the past few weeks, repeated, unstoppable rain has stricken many or almost all parts of Pakistan, causing disastrous floods and broken homes, specially in the rural areas. The heavy continuous rainfall has forced many underprivileged people to evacuate their fragile tents and take refuge in public schools and mosques (which are also flooded with water in most areas—-giving it an appearance of a lake). People are losing all their belongings, crops, livestocks, food, and their sense of hope. Many have lost family members during these floods, including young and innocent children. The disaster has caused destruction all around the country. The people of Pakistan need “us” to help them with whatever we can. Whatever is gathered through this fundraiser will be fully given and contributed towards the food(nourishment and nutrition), medicines for the ill, and also towards clothes and blankets for people who have lost all of their personal possessions and belongings. This fundraiser is very important to me and my family because this is a chance for all of us to be thankful and give back to our communities. These funds will help feed and take care of many poor families and their children possibly saving their lives from malnourishment and preventable medical ailments.
