My daughter is an 8 year old wonder of curiosity, bubbling with energy and giggles. She is fierce, kind, wild and brave. Last fall, after many challenges with learning, she was diagnosed with a number of challenges and barriers to her learning abilities. She requires many special allocations, such as intensive tutoring, speech language pathology, as well as adaptive devices to help her learn in a way that works for her. These are all very expensive and she will need them for years to come. Unfortunately, as a single parent, many of these items are putting a strain on our finances with the rising costs of living and raising a healthy little soul.

We also have the complicating factor of being involved in ongoing legal proceedings regarding care and responsibility in relation to raising this beautiful little spirit. As many know, lawyers are expensive. Trial has been delayed and made more costly a number of times. We have made it this far on our own, but I need help to get us further ahead on our journey during this extensively expensive time. I cannot continue tutoring while facing legal costs, and her safety and wellbeing are paramount to me.

I hope that the kindness and love in our village will help surround us with reconciliation, peace, and justice. Please help us find the good karma during the next number of months while we face this struggle. I am doing the very best I can to nurture this firecracker, to teach her to stand up for what is right, and that the world has many helpers who will have our back while we face this challenge.
