Be a blessing to the family of Delia Crouch
Donation protected
I’m starting this request for help on behalf of my friend Delia Crouch and her family. Over the last several months, Delia has been struggling with her diagnosis of dementia, and she has been in and out of the hospital and emergency room. On Thursday, September 8th, Delia was discharged from the hospital, on hospice, to battle her final stage of dementia in the comfort of her home. She is quickly declining as she has refused to eat or drink anything.
Delia’s husband, Martin Crouch and her daughters Andrea Boudreaux, Danielle Crouch, & Delaney Crouch have been at her side, caring for her and trying to keep her as comfortable as they can. Martin was able to take FLMA from his job to be with Delia, but this means he no longer has funds coming in to take care of household bills, medical expenses, or to prepare for Delia’s end-of-life expenses. This financial burden will take its toll on Martin, who is already emotionally drained along with the rest of the family that’s been taking care of her 24/7. A fact you may not be aware of is Hospice is transitional care. Insurance does not provide daily caregivers, nor does it cover all the necessary medical expenses. The family is responsible for what insurance won't pay.
I request that you be compassionate and kindly remember those who need help during difficult times. Please consider your own life's blessings and be a blessing to Delia and her family.
