I am Deedee's husband and I'm reaching out to you all to inform you on my wife's story and the reason behind this campaign. My wife Deedee is 23 years of age and a mother of one. She has been in this fight with lupus for over a year now. For those who don't know much about lupus, Lupus is a long-term autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue. A lot of the time with lupus comes a list of complications. One of critical complications in Deedee's case has to do with her lungs being compromised. Which brought along detrimental issues and eventually result in her having to undergo a lung transplant as a means of life saving measures. The lung transplant has been successful so far and she is still in her recovery phase. These procedures are quite a bit costly to say the least. She is covered for the most part but this GoFundMe Campaign is to be used as a safety net for all other expenses. If your able to donate it would be a blessing if not a prayer would suffice.
