I am Deb Shippee, trying to raise a little cash for my dear friend, Lacie Bruns-Morris & her 16 yr. old daughter, Lexis. Lacie is a single mom who suffers from her own chronic illness. Her job as the head “lunch lady” at Lourdes CC primary school does not afford her sick days but, for the most part, allows her the freedom to work around the frequent Drs. appointments, tests & hospitalizations that Lexis needs. Lexis was diagnosed years ago with EoE & she suffers from a lot of complications that accompany it. Lexis does not let her illness keep her down! This little gal has more strength & tenacity than any adult I know…to the point of being sick & going to school, in pain, so she doesn’t miss tryouts for one-act plays, musicals, etc.

Right now Lexis is having a very severe allergic reaction, origin yet unknown. She is at Children’s Hospital in Omaha. She’s had one surgery already this week & faces another tomorrow (9/10). Mom Laci is missing work. There will be medical expenses not covered by insurance, in addition to gas for travel, meals, etc.

I am asking you to pray for them, especially for healing for Lexis, and to be as generous as you for this little family. May the Lord bless for whatever you can do!!!!
