As many of you know, my brother An Phong passed away on Redondo Beach in California on February 24, 2016, and while his death was devasting for us, we did not realize how big of a burden his funeral costs would be. Between the two mortuaries ($9.7k), burial plot ($6.7k), travel costs for my family ($670), surprise coroner's bill ($400) and some other bills, which had to be paid upfront, we've exhausted all our cash and donations to pay for his gravestone.

My mother wanted to pay for his gravestone with credit and I told her to hold off and see if some of his friends and loved ones would like to help us with the costs. All the donations from his GoFundMe will go towards his gravestone ($3k) and to my mother to help her recoup some of the costs of burying her son. 

On behalf of my family, we wanted to thank you in advanced for any donation we might receive for him. It means the world to us that he was loved by so many.
