Ludwig is a humanist place where different beings and things come together and communicate with each other – queer, open minded and relaxed – with a diversified program: performances & drag shows, live music & improv events, film screenings & video art, book presentations & readings, talkshows & discussions, art happenings & exhibitions and more. We have been offering stage and microphone to the LGBTQIA+ community since June 2016.
This summer devastated us financially as the heatwave sent many out to Berlin's wonderful lakes and parks rather than inside our bar. We are at risk of needing to close our doors thus shutting down a space much needed in Neukölln. All proceeds from this crowdfunding plus a series of special fundraising events over the next few weeks are an effort to prevent that from happening. Time is urgent and we need to raise a total of 5000€ within the next 3 weeks to stay open. Every donation no matter how small helps us to recover.
Ludwig is owned and operated by 2 people who work full-time on the project. We give every effort and energy into providing a place for artists, performers, and the general public to use, it is our purpose in Berlin. Staying open would mean that we could continue to do this and grow, we would be dearly grateful for that opportunity and are very thankful for each and every donation.
