This is really hard for me to post, but I’m at a point where I have to reach out for help. As most of you may know, I’ve been self-employed as an esthetician for years, but with inflation, my business has suffered and having to maintain both my salon rent and home rent has been a challenge. I recently picked up a second job bartending, but between finding a job that worked around my salon hours and being a mom, it took more time than I would’ve wanted and now I’m struggling to catch up.

Right now, I’m facing eviction because the rental assistance I applied for has been delayed due to my apartment complex not cooperating with the process. If I can get my balance paid before next week, I can avoid going to eviction court altogether. However, I am prepared to defend my case in court so that this doesn’t result in the worst case scenario. This amount consists of one month’s rent, late fees, and court fees since they have already started the eviction process. I’m doing everything I can—working as much as possible and trying to stay on top of things—but I’ve fallen way behind, and I just need a little help to get through this.
