Dear Friends,

We are all devastated by Jimmy's stroke and subsequent downhill slide. We had high hopes that Dad would rally and pull through and within the week he’d go home. That is not what happened. He progressively worsened and we were left with the choice no family wants to make, Hospice. As we watch helplessly, and Jimmy comes to the end of his journey we find we are not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.

We want to give Jimmy the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. The family is currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of paying our last respects to a man who lived life large, loud, and in the moment.

Self employed for years Jimmy had his own successful auto repair shop in downtown Des Moines. He traveled to many places one of his favorites being New Orleans. Always one for adventure, a good laugh, or a conversation about classic cars, Jimmy was friend to many. The need for funeral planning seemed years off.

As he steps to center stage to take a final bow, we struggle with how to tell this great man farewell. We are hoping you can help us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
