Ali needs help. If Ali has ever brightened your day, helped you through hard times, came to you while you were in need or showed you her vast generosity in any way, you aren't alone! The one thing I haven't seen Ali do, is ask for help, and she needs help.
Charlie was diagnosed with lymphoma in February of 2020. They caught it early on and Charlie had a clean bill of health otherwise- happy, healthy, strong and able to go through chemotherapy treatments. Ali and the oncology team at Alta Vista decided that Charlie was a great candidate for the CHOP chemo regimine. Ali didn't hesitate to start right away. Two weeks later the pandemic gave us our first and longest lockdown and Ali was out of a job like so many, meanwhile the vet bills continued to pile up.
Ali made it work. She and Charlie made it to the end of treatment, it was confirmed that Charlie was in remission, and life went on!
As most of you know, Charlie’s cancer has come back. About a month and a half ago, the team at Alta Vista reassuringly explained to Ali that remission is possible yet again, and most importantly Charlie is still very much a strong candidate for the CHOP regimine. After talking to the oncology team and thinking about finances, Ali opted for the less expensive (yet still very effective) COP chemo regimine.
My point is: If you know Charlie, you know he is NOT ready to leave Ali any time soon. Charlie has been with Ali half of her life, and she's not ready to say goodbye yet either. Whether or not this would be the choice you make for your pet, isn't the point. I'm asking the people who love Ali like I do to help her with the cost of Charlie’s treatments this time around.
If you were going to gift her something for Christmas, if you get her something for her Birthday every year, if you have ever thought of returning the favour to a woman who's been there for you but didn't know how, THIS is the ONLY gift she could ever want. More time with her fluff ball.
I too have a hard time asking for help, so I'm doing this for her, and my goal is to raise just a portion of the treatment costs to help a friend who's always helping friends in need.
Thanks for taking the time read this, and stay tuned for a Charlie update! (He thickkkk boi now) Eats like a machine, playing, drinking, following mom everywhere as usual
