Isabella's Journey
Donation protected
Hi my name is Mariana Vargas, Isabella’s Garcia’s older sister. On January 22nd, our lives changed forever. Isabella was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Never would we have imagined something like this would happen to our family, but like they say, God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.
Isabella just turned 15 years old this month. She’s just a freshman in high school with a whole life ahead of her. She’s a vibrant soul, the most selfless person you will ever meet who puts other’s needs before hers, and always has a smile on her face. She always makes sure everyone is taken care of and satisfied before she’s happy. God gifted me a little sister so I can guide her, love her, and learn from her. I’ve learned loyalty, selflessness, raw and genuine love, the definition of FAMILY, and how to put others first all because of her. She has taught her family so much and we need her here with us.
We need to get Isabella back to her regular life so she can continue going to school, spend time with her friends, and be able to be at home with her family and get her out of the hospital ASAP! Unfortunately, my family has been hit with costly bills for her treatments that will ensure her recovery back to being completely healthy. My family asks for any donations you are able to give, and if you aren’t able to, please share with your friends and family. We are extremely thankful for all the support, love, energy, and positivity we have been receiving. Isabella smiles and is grateful for each and every one of you who have been praying for her recovery and health. Again, thank you. #PRAYFORISA #FCANCER
Luz Vargas is our mom btw!
Millions of thanks for all the support. So after speaking with my family, we have raised the goal to 18,000. That was the original amount of what we needed, but out of embarrassment and not wanting to bother others so much, we set it at 10,000. We never imagined to even get close, especially in such a little amount of time, but we were wrong. We appreciate every single cent contributed and donated because it guarantees Isabella’s path to recovery. Thank you to everyone and keep sharing Isabella’s story.
