I never thought my mom would be in a fight for her life when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. This is a family's plea for help. My name is Katie and I'm writing this in the hope to raise support for my mother Eva. My family including my sister Sarah, brother Ricky, and Papa Mark have all been absolutely devasted by this news. My mom has dedicated her life to helping others; with a career as a Social Worker for children, the mentally ill, and developmentally disabled individuals. She has taken in homeless and less fortunate individuals into her home to give them a chance at a better life. She also volunteered as a crisis worker for families in need. Now I'm asking others to help support this selfless and beautiful woman.   Since her diagnosis, she's had numerous tests from a biopsy, MRI, PET & bone scan, sonogram, med port insertion, bloodwork, x-rays, echocardiogram, chemotherapy, oncology appointments, and consults with specialists. Her plan of care requires 8 months of chemotherapy. Afterward, she'll be facing surgery and radiation. The costs are mounting and I am fearful she will not be able to get proper care because of the expense of it all. This diagnosis is tremendously straining mentally, physically, and financially it has all but broken us. Our faith is strong and with that, we continue to help her fight fiercely.   This woman right here is a fighter, she is my best friend and my confidant, and my number one fan. She has always been there to pick me up when I fall, and encourage me never to give up, to fix my crown when it tips, she is my mother, she is a warrior, she is the most amazing woman I know. Mom, you spent your whole life taking care of me, now it's my turn to take care of you. She is battling stage 4 Breast Cancer, and she will win. Many prayers are appreciated as we go through this. Mom just don't forget you are not alone, you have a great support system. We are here for you every step of the way. You are already healed, you are covered by the blood of Jesus, God is with you always.
