Medical and Basic Bills

Hello, my name is Sonny. I’m the oldest son of Frank, or Big Andy, or Andy, or whatever other name he is known by to many people. I am starting this fundraiser to help him out with basic needs.

No matter what nickname you know him by, that man you know, needs our help. A little backstory:

My Father has been down for the last 2 weeks. After an initial visit to the emergency room in excruciating pain, he was told he had stiff muscles due to extreme fatigue. Days with no relief, he went to a visit to his Primary Care Doctor. He also treated it as stiff muscles gave him stronger meds and sent him away again. A few more days later the symptoms were worsening. A call into the PCP again and he was sent back to the emergency room. Finally they ran tests, CT scan and blood work. He has been diagnosed with a spinal cord injury. He cannot use his right arm or hand at all. He has very limited use of his left. He’s already been off work for two weeks. He just started his job and has no vacation time accrued yet. His work has been VERY understanding of his situation, but there is nothing they can do financially to help him.

Dad has insurance so the hospital is somewhat covered. All the meds and copays are a little much, though. He also has short term disability through his health insurance, however it only pays 40% and his insurance premium must be paid out of that weekly.

My father, in the past decade, has turned his life around and dedicated it to helping others in the community, and even expanded to the state and trying to go nationwide. He has given most of his free time and much of his money into his organizations. He has founded and ran a few charitable organizations like Illinois Bikers Against Bullying, Battle Brothers-Midwest’s Homeless Veteran Alliance, Illinois Fallen Bikers, and on top of all that, he has a Podcast dedicated to bikers finding a relationship with the church. Vagabond Christian Bikers. He runs the podcast alone where he does all the research, writing and recording himself.

If you know my father you know he puts others before himself much to his own detriment. He puts all he has into is many ventures and thus lives paycheck to paycheck and has no contingency plan for a health event such as this.

Any help would go towards basic living expenses: rent, utilities, insurance, car payments, etc. I am not sure how long he will be off work and not earning an income.

If you know my dad, you know the type of man he is. You know that he has and will give everything of himself to make sure someone else has what they need.

He now needs our help. Anything you can do to help would be amazing. Even if it is just sharing it with people you know. Every penny will go to Dad.
