In Memory of Elysia

Hi all,

As some of you know, on February 14th 2014, our lives changed forever when we lost our sister, Elysia, to suicide. Elysia wasn’t only a strong and determined young woman, but she also essentially raised me, Brittany and my younger brother George and, this year, she would have celebrated her 30th birthday.

In her memory, myself, Brittany and our friends and family have decided to run a half marathon with the hopes of raising awareness for mental health and to support Young Minds, an organisation which is dedicated to preventing suicide and providing critical support to those in need.

Elysia struggled with her mental health from a very young age, and through our run, we aim to shed light on the importance of mental health resources for those going through Mental Health battles as Elysia did.

Young Minds works tirelessly to provide counselling, crisis intervention, and education, helping countless individuals who are battling those challenges.

Every contribution, no matter the size, can help save lives and bring comfort to those who are struggling.

With gratitude,
Michael and Brittany
