My name is Brian and I'm legally disabled. The social security program for disabled persons does not provide anything remotely like a living wage. As a combination of being on Disability, an inability to work, and still having to take care of certain necessities like groceries, clothing, and automotive repair, I'm $2100 in debt with looming car repairs and a cross-country move that I want to enact with a friend of mine, which is the only way I can afford to move out. I don't have any forms of income outside of Disability and getting a job puts me at risk of losing the benefits of the safety nets associated with Disability. In order to make a living wage, I would need the income from Disability as well as the income of a part-time job, but I'm severely limited on the amount I can make, to the point that once the combined wages were to become enough to live off of on my own, I would no longer qualify for Disability, thus cutting off my income by over half. To put it simply...

I need help.

I feel like I can put together the money over time and have created a financial recovery plan with which to do so. But I can't do it with the debt looming over my head. I am constantly paying back a portion of my debt every month, which results in me no longer having money for the remainder of the month, causing me to go back into debt, and often even further, just to cover the cost of living. I could start my recovery plan if I wasn't constantly drowning in debt. That is why I'm asking for the amount that I am. Please help. I just want to get my life together. I want to stop treading water, spinning my wheels, any number of metaphors for stagnation. Please, help me move forward for once.
