This boy defined all the odds. He escaped euthanasia last minute by having an amazing rescue, Co-Exist Rescue, a nonprofit in the heart of San Juan Capistrano, CA. step in to save him. He was frightened and scared, so his first day was a bit more difficult. Since he was not as calm as our foster expected, we were told that unfortunately that foster won't be able to help.
Dogs can be fearful if they went through a lot of things in their past. When dogs have been failed by humans, we can expect that they don't always trust us right away.
However, even though this boy has been scared, within 24 hours leaving the shelter environment he has transformed completely with our transporter who offered to help temporarily till we can find another foster or training opportunity for him. Brownie was walking around calmly, was easy to leash and was giving kisses.

What we want to do for Brownie to help him:
1. Brownie needs a long term foster who understands how dogs might behave when they are fearful. The foster can be anywhere in Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego County.
2. We need funds for some training so that he can slowly understand that from now on things will be ok and can help him integrate to a new home faster. He will learn that he won't have to be scared anymore and will be loved and well taken care of.
