Hi friends, my name is Tessa Murphy-Romboletti. I’m a client-turned-friend of Jennifer Cullen and I’m reaching out because our girl needs some support.

On Monday, March 27th, driving home from Boston, Jenn reached over to stratch an itch and felt a lump on the side of her breast. After a quick set of appointments through Baystate, she got the call that it was breast cancer. In a short amount of time since then, she’s had dozens of appointments and procedures so that she can face this diagnosis head-on. Currently her treatment plan includes 6 rounds of chemo and meds, followed by surgery, more meds, and then radiation. This treatment plan is estimated to take about 1 year or more.

Jenn is not only an incredible mom, wife and friend, but she is a skilled hairdresser who works miracles running her own business, Studio 20 in Westfield. For many of us, Jenn has become more than just the woman who cuts our hair; she is a special friend and someone we all want to help support during this journey.

Being a business owner is tough enough, but running a business while going through months of treatments and appointments with limited healthcare coverage can be unfathomable. She is unable to work her side job as a bartender, which is something that not only brings her joy but has often been a helpful addition to her salary. Jenn has been so grateful to the amazing salon owners that unselfishly stepped up to fill in for her behind the chair, but she needs a little more help, and that’s where you come in! The income coming in through disability benefits is simply not enough to cover what Jenn typically is able to make when she is able to work.

We’re creating this campaign to help Jenn and her family cover the increasing costs associated with her treatment. We want to make sure that Jenn, Seamus and Merek can focus on the number one priority: Jenn’s recovery.
