Help mom get better ♥️

It has been a rough few weeks. My beautiful mom is going through one of the toughest moments of her life. She was admitted to a clinic last week for an emergency surgery. 

She’s been through it all, she’s a 14 year cancer survivor, who sadly has cirrosis due to an auto-immune deficiency and diabetes which in recent weeks has been controlled with insulin, despite all this to me, she’s the toughest chick on the block.

However, last week her surgery affected her in ways we didn’t expect, granted her health has declined this year because she’s in Bolivia. Healthcare sadly has never been great and when the pandemic hit, our people suffered the most. Today after about 10 days of a slow recovery because her liver just won’t cooperate, we found out she is covid positive. Granted when she was admitted, she was negative.

All hospitals there have collapsed due to the pandemic, so we had to place her in a private clinic... sadly at this point we are in such a tough spot. Keeping her there, means paying over $2,000 per day and sadly we can no longer affordit. Taking her out of there means risking her life! I, as a daughter don’t know what to do. 

So as hard as this is, I must reach out for help because she’s the person I love the most. Because I need my mom, my kids need their grandmother, I love my mom and for that reason I’m asking for help today. Help to save her because my siblings and I can no longer do it on our own.

It is with a broken heart, that I must communicate that despite all efforts and the support of all the kind, beautiful hearts our loving mom passed away on April 23 at 5:40am. All of this due to the lack of an efficient health system and negligent medical care in our home country. 

We are left with the greatest void and an emptiness that can never be filled in our hearts. She was the most wonderful, magical, giving, kind human being. No words can express the sadness that invades us at this time.
