Mike had to have one of his legs amputated right below the knee in early 2017. He has a number of medical issues working against him. He has diabetes, kidney failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and now has to have his other leg amputated. This last year has been especially tough for him. Due to his diabetes, Mike went blind in February of 2021 and had to be off of work for 4 months straight. Once he was able to return to work, he was only able to work a couple of days before he started to go downhill yet again. It’s been a vicious cycle battling this and trying to work to pay for his medical care and living expenses. Mike has been an employee of R&L Carriers for almost 30 years and has recently been forced to medically retire. He is fighting for disability now, but the process is taking longer than expected. We are aiming to help raise money for him to help pay for an attorney for his disability, medical expenses, dialysis treatments, a wheelchair, and he will also need a ramp built in order to access his home, among regular living expenses such as utilities, rent, and groceries. Any amount donated is appreciated and will definitely help him. Anyone who knows Mike knows he has always been one to have his loved ones back, now it’s our turn to have his!!
