To know the Starkey family is to love them. Richard and Abigail have been married for 7 years, with two beautiful children Scarlette(3) and Richard(2). They embrace the Marine Corp lifestyle and values, always staying active in the command’s community and always making time for others. Their love for each other as a family is something very special to witness and be near. If you have had the pleasure of being around them, you know they all love each other more than life!

Being in the military comes with its own hardships, starting over every few years is one of them. Shortly after starting over in San Clemente, California from Stuttgart, Germany, they received news no one wants to hear. Richard was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer at the young age of 27. He has recently started chemotherapy and other treatments, with possible surgeries planned in the near future.

With family and friends all far away, this GoFundMe will go toward travel costs for their family to visit and assist with the littles, and everything in-between that comes with having a family member in the hospital.
