Men make up only 12–13% of nurses in the United States, and just 8% of households are headed by single fathers. This is the road less traveled—one that Ali strives to walk every day.

Ali began his journey in healthcare by studying Anesthesia Technology at DuPage College in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated in 2021 and started working as an anesthesia technologist. His passion for helping others is evident not only in the care he provides to his patients, but also in the way he supports his friends and family.

In 2014, when his mother was diagnosed with cancer, Ali stepped in to assist with her daily care. Her illness deeply impacted him, and although she sadly passed away in 2024, her dream was to see him continue his education and ultimately become a doctor in anesthesia.

In addition to this loss, Ali also cares for his sister, who has Down syndrome along with other health complications. His empathetic nature fuels his unwavering commitment to those who depend on him.

Since 2023, Ali has had to pivot to other work opportunities to make ends meet. However, he is now ready to return to the healthcare field. He plans to pursue a degree in Radiography at South College as the next step toward his long-term goals.

Ali is seeking financial assistance to help raise $4,500 to begin this next chapter in his healthcare journey.
