The BC Dumpling Festival is returning on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam, BC.

This free, family-friendly event has become one of Metro Vancouver’s most loved cultural food festivals, bringing together over 40,000 people last year to celebrate culture, community, and connection.

What many people don’t know is how this festival began.

The BC Dumpling Festival was created in response to a racist incident in our community. What started as a grassroots effort to bring people together has grown into something powerful. A space where people of all backgrounds can gather, share food, and celebrate diversity in a meaningful way.

This year, we are committed to bringing the festival back.

You can expect a full day of:

Food vendors featuring dumplings from different cultures

Live cultural performances and entertainment

Family-friendly activities including a Kids Zone

Local artisans and community vendors

A vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for all

But we need your help.

Like many community events, we’ve been impacted by the current economic climate. Several of our sponsors, including our title sponsor, have had to step away this year. At the same time, costs continue to rise.

Producing a large-scale event like this requires significant funding. Permits, staging, sound, security, safety personnel, insurance, equipment, and logistics all add up quickly.

We have made the decision to move forward because we believe this event matters.

It matters to the families who attend

It matters to the small businesses and vendors

It matters to the community that it brings together

Now we are asking for your support to help make it possible.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward producing the BC Dumpling Festival and keeping it free and accessible for everyone.
