BC & The Big Rig New Record Project
Donation protected
Well, here we (BC & The Big Rig) sit again... On the verge of releasing a new record to the world... "Do You Remember How To Rock & Roll?" Our Sophomore effort.
We come to you guys and gals again for support. We're trying to raise $3500 to cover the cost of the initial run of cd's (1000 of them) and a run of vinyl records.
We have done everything so far on this record. Wrote the songs, arranged them, recorded them, mixed them, mastered them, etc, etc.. We haven't looked for an outside source on any part of this record until now.
If you know our band, you know that we are a completely DIY band. We don't like asking for help for anything we do. We've saved thousands through this recording process by doing things ourselves. We've even put aside what little money we could out of our gigs to help in the process. We've just come to the end of this process and need a little help to get over the hump and get this out to the Big Rig Nation.
BC & The Big Rig has really only been together a little over a year and a half, but we have done more in that short time than a lot of bands that have been together for years. There is something special about what we're doing and we can see that people are starting to figure that out and get on board. We truely feel we can reach a new level with the release of "Do You Remember How To Rock & Roll?".
About this record-- "Do You Remember How To Rock & Roll? " is a full on rock record. It's a throw back to all of our influences and if you know the 5 of us, there's a lot of influences. It has the Big Rig sound (and there really is a Big Rig sound). Twin guitar solos, 4 part harmonies, HUGE drums, booming bass, ripping guitars, and solid, catchy lyrics. We're so excited about this record and can't wait to get it out so people can remember what a rock and roll record is all about..
We want to keep this campaign simple. We're only gonna keep it (posted) up for a couple of weeks. If we hit our goal, great. If we don't, we'll graciously accept what we raise and go from there. There's only gonna be 2 levels of donation. A cd package and a vinyl package. $20 and $40. If you want to donate more, that's totally up to you. We'll gladly accect them, but we don't want to over promise and under deliver on anything. We don't want to ask people to break the bank on their donations. Small, simple donations.
Please keep in mind that a vinyl run of records is about a 3 month process, so if you donate, we'll send you what Big Rig swag we have and the new cd immediately. It'll just be a couple of months before a signed copy of the record shows up on your doorstep.
In closing, thank you for taking the time to help us out. You don't know how much we appreciate your help. It's a very humbling experience to get help from our fans, friends, and family. We really are so proud of this record. We think and hope that you'll like it just as much as we do. We hope it can take us to a new level in the music industry and sometimes all you need is just a little help and hope.
