My clever and adventurous son Kai has been accepted to be a Young Ambassador on an exchange program to Japan next spring!!

Every two years this amazing, long standing program gives a small group of middle school children from Campbell River the opportunity of a lifetime: travel to our sister-city Ishikari in Japan, complete immersion in a culture very different from their own, and the chance to see what's out there in this big wide world.

I really can't think of a better learning opportunity for a child growing up in Canada's multicultural society and in the midst of our globalized world.

I hope you will consider helping me fund this trip so that my little explorer can follow his dreams... and, you know.... take on the world!! I just know he's going to make us all proud.
