It feels strange writing this. I try not to ask for help because we’re all struggling right now but, I’m doing this because I really need to. I’m a digital artist who tries to use my platform to uplift my community, specifically black trans & cis women. I’ve been an artist all my life but I’ve been doing digital work since 2016. I skirt  by with working on my first computer I ever bought & my hand-me-down monitor my mom gave me to create my art with. But it’s on its last leg & that’s really scary for a freelance artist with stacked bills & no way to buy new equipment. Art has been such a constant comfort for me in both lessening my clinical anxiety & expressing my intersections of being black, queer & autistic. I want to continue to uplift my community with my art so that if there’s any chance my art can be someone‘s solace, like I wish I had as a kid, I can meet that chance head on.
