Charlie is a normal teenager active and sporty with a great group of friends, anyone that knows him can tell you what a great guy he is.
Five or six weeks ago he was playing for his six a side team when he collapsed, and was rushed to hospital, Charlie did not know what was happening you could see that in his eyes.
Things moved with what seemed to be lightening speed, barley time to get a grip on one piece of news before it had changed.
Part of this news was his diagnosis that left us all in disbelief and numb, how could our fit lad have 4 tumours ? How could they be stage 4 ?
Charlie being charlie has been great no complaints and taking it all in his stride.
His treatment has been bought forward to start today with both radio and chemo therapy.
We have already met some fantastic caring people, who have put his well being and comfort first, we have all found this humbling but most welcome, our thanks go out to the ambulance crews, doctors and our family and friends.
