Help Ranger Fight Fibrous Sarcoma
Meet Ranger, a sweet and gentle soul with a heart as big as his story. Born in 2019, Ranger entered the world with a mission—one that led him into the prison dog program in 2020, where he became a source of comfort and companionship to those most in need of healing. After completing the program, Ranger found his forever home with his best friend and devoted owner, Bryn Lauffer. From the moment they met, their bond has been unbreakable—a true partnership filled with love, loyalty, and endless tail wags.
Ranger is the kind of dog who has never met a stranger. Whether he's making someone smile on a walk or offering quiet support during tough times, Ranger has always been there for others. Now, we’re asking you to be there for him.
Ranger’s Battle
Ranger has recently been diagnosed with fibrous sarcoma, a rare and aggressive tumor affecting his face. Since the diagnosis, he has bravely endured three sedated procedures to biopsy and examine the tumor. Unfortunately, because of its delicate placement—so close to the nerves in his face—surgery is not currently a viable option.
After consulting with veterinary specialists, radiation and chemotherapy have been recommended as the next steps. However, these treatments come with a heavy cost—both financially and physically. That’s why we are reaching out for your support.
In the meantime, Ranger is receiving pain management through Rimadyl twice daily and Gabapentin every 8–12 hours, along with a holistic three-part supplement from Vitality Science added to his food to help support his immune system and general well-being.
How You Can Help
We’re raising funds to give Ranger the best chance at a longer, pain-free life. Your donation will go directly toward:
Continued veterinary visits and diagnostic testing
Pain management and holistic care
Potential chemotherapy and radiation treatments
Any specialized medications or supportive therapies that arise
No amount is too small—every single donation brings us one step closer to giving this incredible dog the care he needs.
Why Ranger Matters
Ranger isn’t just a dog—he’s a symbol of resilience, love, and healing. His life has already made a difference in so many, and with your help, he can continue to spread joy and love for years to come.
If you’re unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this page with your friends, family, or anyone who understands the deep bond between a person and their dog.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Ranger’s journey. Let’s show him that the world can give back the love he’s so freely given.
