Did you know that exercise and play are essential for the growth and cognitive development of young children? In fact, through physical activity and gameplay, children develop important motor skills such as balance, coordination, and spatial awareness, which provide the foundation for much cognitive learning. We are asking for your support in helping kids (ages 6 to 12) regain an academic edge and recover from the COVID-shutdown losses. We are looking to fund 24 hours of intervention for 30 students that will develop into capable and confident learners.
The educational impacts of the pandemic (COVID Slide) have become alarmingly evident and the need to provide intervention to kids in 2nd through 8th grade is critical. Through our enrichment programs, we can address these deficiencies and provide remedial reading/math instruction to elementary-aged students in a fun and engaging setting.
Please join us in changing the trajectory of 30 local students’ lives. A donation of $900 funds one student for six weeks of Brain Camp (that’s just $150/week) – every bit helps get us closer! Thanks to our partnership with Coral Gables Congregational UCC and the kind generosity of the Jorge and Darlene Perez Family Foundation, along with several other community neighbors, we are already 20% of the way there.
Think globally, Give locally!
