Three years ago a determined group of young women and men from a variety of schools and homeschool groups in Atlanta desired to build robots and founded Toaster Tech, Team 5332, a FIRST FRC team. This year, 8 students competed in events in Columbus, Kennesaw and Athens, and were seeded 5th in the State of Georgia. Against all odds, the team has qualified to compete in the World Championships in St Louis, Missouri. The entrance fee for the event is $5,000 and travelling costs are expected to exceed $5,000.
Please consider helping this enterprising group of kids reach their goal to participate in the World Championships and nurture the future of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
The competition takes place in just 2 weeks, starting on the 27th of April, 2016. Any contribution, however small, will be gratefully received by the team, and used to fund the entrance and travel expenses for the event.
