Bayou Relief Fund-Matching for Ida

On August 29, 2021 Hurricane Ida made landfall as the strongest Hurricane to hit Louisiana since the 1850's, bringing devastation to the coastal communities of Southeast Louisiana. The people of this region are some of the most generous and genuine people in the world and they are suffering the worst effects of this historic and catastrophic storm. At the same time, they are unfortunately largely ignored by the rest of the nation and the world in this time of great need. With that in mind Get Online NOLA is appealing for donations for the Bless Your Heart Foundation which is directly supporting people in Houma, Thibodaux, and the surrounding region.

Our founder, Wendy Dolan grew up in Houma and many of her family have been directly affected by the storm. It is with them in mind that Get Online NOLA will fund-match up to $500 in donations raised by September 30th. Please consider contributing to the relief effort for the communities that supply shrimp, fish, and culture to so much of the United States and the wider world. Thank you in advance.

While we are not working directly with the foundation, the funds raised, along with up to $500 in matching funnds will go directly to the Bless Your Heart Foundation to aid the people of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.
