The world lost a great man and heaven gained a perfect angel last week.   As many of you know, Eric has lost his long hard-fought battle with cancer last Thursday afternoon.  He was so much to so many people.  An incredible husband, an amazing, all-hands-on father to Alex and Aubrey, a loving son, brother, cousin to the Galyon family, and a very generous, put-everyone-else-first friend to SO many of us.  Our lives are all a little brighter and our hearts are a little fuller having known him.

I think that the best way that we can honor him and his memory is to take a little time to help his precious family through these hard times ahead.  Whether it's prayers, sending sweet notes or messages over the next few days, weeks and months, errands, meals,  the list could go on - no deed is too small or unappreciated at this time.  We have kept this GoFundMe open for anyone that would like to help financially, and same goes here - there is no amount too small or unappreciated.

Service arrangements have been made.  The service will be this Saturday, August 3rd at 1:00 at Rundus Funeral Home (1998 W. 10th Avenue, Broomfield) with a reception to follow at Delvickios (1100 US-287 a500, Broomfield).

Thank you all for being here to care for such an amazing family as they mourn the loss of a piece of their world.

Eric Galyon has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  This GoFundMe has been setup to help with the medical bills associated with his treatment.  This will help support Eric, his wife Jamie, and his two daughters Alex (12) and Aubrey (9), during this hard time.

After suffering from a cough and fatigue for several weeks, and after a couple of clean chest x-rays, Eric had a CT scan on the January 15th.  On the 16th, Eric and Jamie learned that the CT scan showed evidence of colon cancer.   Unfortunately, Eric's tumor is a size and in a location that prevents surgery at this time.  He is currently undergoing chemo treatments every 2 weeks.   He and Jamie head down to the UCHealth hospital in Aurora at least every two weeks, and often more as appointments crop up between treatments.

The journey has not been as smooth as we would hope, but seems to be settling down now.  After his first treatment, Eric was hospitalized for 5 days due to blood clotting.  After his second treatment, Eric had to be seen at the emergency room for a temperature spike.  Since then, things have settled down and the family is grateful for that.

These last two months have been quite an emotional roller coaster.  Words can't express how grateful the Galyon's are for everyone's love and support.  They are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people.  Eric is a true fighter!  Thank you so much for fighting with him!

All donations will support the medical bills accumulated throughout the treatment process (hospital bills, procedures, prescriptions, etc.).
