Hi y’all! I’m starting this gofundme for housing security. I love my current home and my housemates. Unfortunately due to health concerns such as mice and lead paint present in the home (currently getting exacerbated by mass amounts of electrical work currently being done daily that include loud drilling bringing mice out of holes in the walls and cutting into paint/walls making the lead paint an even worse problem) the house is becoming borderline uninhabitable. The landlord has continuously tried to deny financial (and moral) responsibility to us as tenants by taking care of the issues and has fought with us every step of the way to sort out these problems and I just cannot make it work. I fear I will not be able to afford the legal representation required to make this work for me as well. So after 3 years of living at this home, it has become clear to me that it’s time for me to let this place go. Unfortunately this also comes at a really financially difficult time: coming back from a month long tour on which I also got laid off during from my day job. This was my main source of income that paid the bills and the rent, therefore I have been scrambling for DJ gigs and the like to get by since I’ve been back.

With these funds I hope to find a new home in either SF or Oakland, put down a deposit and first month’s rent as well as have a cushion for an additional month while I look for more stable income and attempt to reset my life and feel comfortable in my home again.
