Baxter survived a terrible hip lock dystocia that took his sweet recipient momma mare’s life. He’s been fighting for his life at Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center since May 1st. He arrived with severe nerve damage to his hind end and with the tireless care of everyone at the EMC he has beaten the odds and made an incredible recovery over the last week. The docs at EMC give him an excellent prognosis for functionality and even a future in sport with continued support. Between his hospitalization and the special needs nurse mare he needs I am running out of resources and I don’t want to give up on this special little guy. He’s a fighter.
