On August 13th, 2016 flood waters inundated the Baunchand's home in a matter of hours. They had to be resuced along with their three children from their home of many years. Returning to the home a few days later it was found that the water had ruined everything including appliances, furniture, clothing, etc. (pictures below) Now living with family, they are left to rebuild their lives.

All donations will be given directly to Dustin and Sashika to take care of their immediate needs, and to help on this long road of recovery. The most immediate needs are for clothing for the children and parents, followed by needed tools and materials for repairing their home.
A Story:
When my wife and I decided to move to Louisiana, it was determined that I would go down first a few weeks early to secure a home for us and our two dogs. Wanting to buy a house, we would need only temporary housing until we could find a good house that fit our needs. I had called the local bishop (congregation leader) of our church and asked if any one in the ward (congregation) had a rental for my wife and I, and our two dogs. He said he would ask around. During a council meeting with other leaders, he brought this up, and Sashika the leader of the women's youth group, said "they can stay with us." Sight unseen. With out knowing us at all, but that we needed a place to live, she and her husband invited us into their homes and lives. From day one, we were invited to every family party, bbq, and birthday event they had. We lived with them for 2 months, before moving into our own home.
Now as I consider their friendship, and consider that the home that was a sancutary for us is now so heavily damaged, my heart aches for a way to help. I don't think I can ever repay their kindness and love, but with this GoFundMe, I hope to help provide them a leg up on rebuilding their life.
Any donation helps, and I will be forever grateful for your kindness.
