Batty rescue
Donation protected
Terri Ridgway had a car accident yesterday & is lucky to be alive. She spends all of her time rescuing & caring for bats, it's a full time job! Police, fire crews & ambo's attended the scene where she had written off her Nissan X-Trail. Luckily she was leaning on her horn down the bottom of a 30 meter cliff where she had to be rescued!
Terri lives on her own (aside from the bats she cares for) way out of town on an acreage. This serious accident has left her without a car for her own transport but also unable to rescue the bats in this dire time of need.
We have an unprecedented event happening at the moment. Flying Foxes are starving, emaciated & dehydrated from up North to over the border into NSW. Every Bat carer & Veterinarian is overloaded trying to save bats.
This photo is of bat carer Terri, bruised, battered & carless, feeding the rescued bats less than 3 hours after having this serious car accident.
We are not asking for a brand new off the lot car, just enough that Terri can get back into saving the lives of these helpless, starving bats that so desperately need her help!
Please, any amount small or large would help not just Terri but all the bats in need! Thanks
