Battling With Breanna

On September 8th, 2020, Darren and Victoria McBride took Breanna in for a check up, concerned that she was bruising too easily. They drew her blood and the doctor was concerned about certain levels, so they were rushed to Children's Mercy for more testing. On September 9th, Darren and Victoria received news that no parent ever wants to hear - Breanna has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).
They were scared, but had some comfort hearing that its a relatively common form of cancer. On September 10th, after a spinal trap procedure, they received more bad news - the leukemia was present in her spinal tap fluid. Now they need a more aggressive treatment plan for Breanna that will range over a 2 year span or longer.
I'm starting this fundraiser to help my friends in need. With treatment, traveling to KC, staying at the hospital/hotel, taking time off work for both of them, expenses will certainly add up. Let's all come together and help the McBrides fight this thing. Let's let Breanna know we are battling WITH her and rooting her on every step of the way.
