Our 55 year old friend, Mike Bertram, recently suffered two different strokes, right sided on May 23rd and left sided on June 26th. This has caused a brain injury that has resulted in mobility, speech, and swallowing issues. Mike has a very long road ahead of him that is going to take time, patience, and a lot of hard work.  Mike has always been a hard worker. When not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. One of his favorite activities is spending time on Nolin River Lake. He misses fishing, floating, and socializing. We can’t wait to see him back working and enjoying himself. Currently, Mike is in rehab in Bowling Green, KY where he is making progress. Although Mike has an incredibly supportive wife, family, and friends, he could use all the love, prayers, and support he can get as he battles his way back on this journey. Recovery associated with stroke is very costly. We hope this GoFundMe will help with medical expenses and general financial support (mortgage, bills, groceries, etc.) as he recovers.  We are hopeful this will alleviate some of the financial burden so he can recover with minimal stress.
