My name is Kulwinder kaur. I am writing to you with an urgent plea for financial assistance.

I am 45-year-old woman who was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a rare form of breast cancer, last May. I have bravely undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation, and has undergone surgery to remove my left breast. Still, I require a significant amount of medical attention that will be impossible for our family to afford without financial assistance. My situation is further complicated by the expiration of my work permit, leaving me unable to work and with no insurance coverage for my medical/cancer treatment expenses.

We are a 4 person household, but my son the only individual able to work, and his income is used to cover bill payments, housing, groceries, and legal expenses to immigration consultants. The financial burden has become overwhelming and we currently owe $50,000 due to the cancer treatments, expected to increase to $150,000 in 5 years. The payment itself of the first year of cancer treatments will leave us destitute. We have exhausted all available resources and we are facing the real possibility of forgoing my mother’s necessary treatments due to a lack of funds. These treatments are a critical part of my recovery, and without immediate support, my chances of recovering could be severely compromised, having a heartbreaking impact on my family.

I am hardworking and esteemed member of our community, and it is devastating to see what she has gone through in the past year. My unexpected diagnosis has been incredibly hard on our family and we are praying that we can overcome this challenging period and see me happy again.
