Battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia with Matteo

Story

This 23rd of June we got the horrible news that our little Matteo got diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia .He was urgently air lifted to OHSU Doernbecher in Portland which is 5 hours from our home in Medford Oregon . Matteo is expected to be fighting AML for multiple months of chemotherapy and blood transfusions with the goal of a bone marrow transplant. His Father and stepmother want to continue to be by his side to support him through all of his treatments .With lengthy medical bills and the fact that His father Matthew has had to stop working to be by Matteo’s side and step-mom Natalie left her job in medford and got a part time closer to the hospital so we could be closer for any emergency all while battling Kidney issues of her own .Our family is trying to stay Financially afloat during this hard time and stay strong for Matteo.All while continuing to keep our home . We know that any help will be greatly appreciated and provide relief where it is needed the most. We humbly ask for any support . Este 23 de junio tuvimos la horrible noticia de que a nuestro pequeño Matteo le diagnosticaron leucemia mieloide aguda. Fue llevado urgentemente al OHSU Doernbecher en Portland, Oregón que está a 5 horas de nuestra casa en Medford, Oregón. Se espera que Matteo esté luchando contra la LMA durante varios meses de quimioterapia y transfusiones de sangre con el objetivo de un trasplante de médula ósea. Como familia, estaremos a su lado para apoyarlo a través de sus tratamientos, aunque esto pondrá un freno a nuestra vida diaria. Con las largas facturas médicas y el hecho de que su padre Matthew ha tenido que dejar de trabajar para estar al lado de Matteo y la madrastra Natalie dejó su trabajo en Medford y consiguió un tiempo parcial más cerca del hospital. Nuestra familia no puede imaginar las ramificaciones financieras que esta enfermedad nos traerá. Sabemos que cualquier ayuda sin duda proporcionará alivio cuando más se necesita, y humildemente pedimos cualquier apoyo.
