Help a veteran beat cancer!

Please help Paul Bernard, Veteran with life expenses and car repair while fighting Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Paul has been my best friend since 5 years old. Recently he found out he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I am asking on his behalf for you to take a moment let his story sit in your heart and please help with your tax deductible gift to honor his needs at this time, just as he honored our needs and the needs of our country with his service. Paul is about to embark on chemo treatment for 6 months. He will be unable to work, and really needs our support.

Paul served honorably in the US Army from 2002 - 2007 and was stationed in South Korea, Honduras and Hawaii. While stationed at his last duty station at Wheeler Army AF in Hawaii he was held back from deploying with the rest of his unit to Iraq for medical reasons. He was then medically discharged shortly thereafter in 2007.  Paul's service might have ended in 2007, but his heart never left the Army.  It remains there and he wishes he was healthy enough to go back.

In July of 2015 he was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but due to VA mishandling and a failed Veteran's Choice Program that is supposed to help vets get care quicker than being within the VA system, he was not able to start treatment until November of 2015. His treatment is very aggressive and requires intense doses of Chemo once every 15 days for 6 months.

*Update Feb 2016*
Paul and I want to thank all of you that have donated, shared this campaign and prayed for Paul. He is now halfway through his treatment and should be done by May if all goes well. I will keep you updated as he progresses. Just know that you all have made an impact on him and he is extremely thankful!

I will be creating a blog with his entire story, but for now this is a small look into the wonderful person Paul Bernard is. He would do anything for anyone, and is always there to listen when someone is in need.
Any amount helps, and is greatly appreciated. PLEASE SHARE on your timeline, and let's get Paul the assistance he so greatly deserves and needs. Financial impact is great during this time, and is not something he should be focusing on. Prayers and positive energy sent his way is also appreciated.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. LET'S DO THIS!
