At Battle Flag Ranch, we live to serve the selfless. As a veteran myself who returned home from the dangers of war in Afghanistan, my family and I understand the difficulty of reentry into "normal" life with family and friends. Truth is, life just no longer feels normal.
Since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001, the divorce rate among military couples has skyrocketed by forty-two percent. War puts a tremendous strain on families, particularly young couples with children. Thus, its comes as little surprise that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have placed extreme pressure on many marriages. There are thousands of serviceman and servicewoman who may have physically survived the horrors of war abroad, but whose families now face the threat of destruction at home.
However, most people are innocently uneducated to the actual staggering present statistics of the casualties to marriages and families across the nation. Simply put, it can be very difficult to leave a war zone and reenter the relatively peaceful world of family life. We strive to help build the bridge between these two worlds.
Our vision is a short term bed and breakfast respite for battle-wearied veterans and their equally weary spouse, providing safety and sanctuary as they relearn the delicate art of love and communication in marriage.
All money donated goes directly to the ranch and bed & breakfast. We have NO paid staff and focus all donations towards veterans! We need you and your friends and your friends friends to donate to our cause so that we may continue to help our Heroes and their families Heal!
