I was COVID vaccine injured. I received my first COVID vaccine in February 2021 and my second in March 2021. I was a healthy school teacher. Within a month my gallbladder shut down and I began having strange symptoms with my joints, muscles , and digestive system. In the early stages, it was believed I had Ehler’s Danlos.
As symptoms progressed, my fascia and muscles began braking down and my sacrum started to gape and my right leg literally came loose from me. I saw a therapist that confirmed that my tissues were breaking down and my fascia could not hold me together. I saw many doctors. Upon meeting one doctor, she confirmed that what was happening to my body was not what Ehler’s Danlos did to someone and said I was vaccine injured.
It is possible that I reacted negatively to the vaccine due to having EDS. Recent research indicates that people with Ehler’s Danlos should not take the COVID vaccine.
She explained that upon much research that the vaccine had properties that could attach to receptors cells responsible for collagen production and tell the cells to die off. This means your tissues die off and your whole body is made of tissues.
In the earlier stages when I could still maneuver better and my tissues were a bit tighter, I was holding on to hope that this could be slowed down. I saw another doctor at the University of Iowa. I was told some people did not fare well with the vaccine and he walked out the door.
You are left to navigate on your own with really no help as I was told once you are vax injured you can’t go back.
My pain is unimaginable and my tissues are all literally disintegrating.
As I have navigated this journey I have tried to do a work from home job but it’s become more difficult to do as my tissues have continued to break down. I cannot hold my head up for very long and cannot sit upright for too long as I don’t have the proper tissue support.
eating is becoming much more difficult as the muscles and tissues I need for digestion/swallowing etc are breaking down.
It feels like I am held together by goo. I have no real structure, my bones hang straight down and my core is nearly non existent. My right side is the worst as it was attacked first. That’s the side of my body I received my vaccine on.
I am bedridden which is extremely difficult to mentally accept as I was once so active.
There is no compensation from the pharmaceutical companies.
Im not big on asking for help, but unfortunately this is where I am right now.
