Elizabeth "E" Bell is a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt and an amazing friend to all who are lucky to know her. She can brighten anyone's day with her infectious laugh and humor.
Elizabeth went to the emergency room in November 2016, just before her 35th birthday, with pains that she questioned for appendicitis. Unfortunately, the results were much more severe. Elizabeth was diagnosed with advanced peritoneal cancer (http://www.webmd.com/cancer/peritoneal-cancer-prognosis-symptoms-treatments#1) and bravely continues the battle against this rare cancer of the abdomen with unyielding optimism today.
Since then, months of chemotherapy, surgeries, and hospital stays forced her to leave a company she admires, move out of her much loved Lawrenceville apartment, and head back home to Cheswick where her mom can help her heal. We're all amazed by her strength through the toughest surgery yet - a full hysterectomy, appendix and gall bladder removal combined with an aggressive chemotherapy treatment called HIPEC (http://www.hipec.com/), all completed in May. She's working through a tough recovery now and will soon undergo more chemotherapy sessions as she continues her battle.
Elizabeth isn't known to ask for help but, with accumulating medical bills and expenses, we as her family & friends want to help ease the financial burden on her and her mom and give her this small amount of comfort while she powers through the tough challenges ahead.
