My battle to fight Stage 4 Endometriosis

Donation protected

Hi my name is Jenna,

Just about a year ago I had abdominal surgery for my extreme chronic pelvic and back pain, which now has gotten worse and walking has become a daily challenge.

I have since been diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis of the Pelvis, Colon and rectum.

Those who already know me,  know what an independent, strong, motivated, active, fun and energetic person I am. I have always been the one to be there and care for everyone in my life, before thinking of myself. But, for once, I am focusing on the number one important person in my life, myself.

This disease has taken so much out of my life, emotionally, physically, financially and my mobility. I can’t be the active and fun person, who I once was, with limited control. It is very depressing knowing I have limited co tell of my own body. I have a long road ahead and will need occupational and physical Therapy, just to bring me back to my normal self.  A journey that is far from easy  and a battle I will continue to fight, since there is no cure for Endometriosis.

Thus, my condition led me to travel out of state to Atlanta Georgia for multiple surgeries for my Endometriosis, which was on Tuesday September 15th.  Without this surgery, I would have continue to live a debilitating and painful life.

One of the surgeries that sadness me more than anything and touches my heart is having to get a Total Hysterectomy. Those who know me, know it has been a life dream to become a mother, naturally. One dream that I now can no longer achieve.

Endometriosis is a painful disorder, where the tissue, similar to the inside of a woman’s uterus, the endometrium, grows outside a woman’s uterus. Common areas involve the woman’s ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining in your pelvis. This develops into scar tissue and adhesions — abnormal bands of fibrous tissue that can cause pelvic pain(which can become chronic in nature) and organs to stick together. As well as, spread to other organs in your body, which can cause organ failure and increased risk of other diseases.

Woman with Endometriosis have shown to have increased risk of other diseases such as MS (multiple surosis), chronic fatigue syndrome, under active thyroid and rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia.

On rare occasions, researchers have associated Endometriosis with two types of Ovarian Cancer - endometrioid and clear-cell subtypes.

Millions of woman suffer from this debilitating and chronic painful disease, which have been slipped under the medical radar for far too long! Yet, woman all over the world are suffering this same battle, with no concern.

One day I hope to become more of an advocate for such debilitating disease and help raise awareness that this condition is real and affects millions of woman all over the world.

Those who read this and are fighting the same battle, stay strong, you are not a lone! We will get through this together!

Life is so unpredictable, you never know when the unexpected happens. With that being said, it has become a fighting battle to keep up with all my expenses.

I am currently on short-term disability and have been out of work since June 16th,2020. All my funds have been depleted, due to all my medical bills, therapy, medication, and daily living expenses.

With that being said, it extremely sadness me to get to the point to reach out to the public, friends and family for help.

As I know times are tough for many and I continue to pray for those who are fighting their own battles.

I am asking for any kind hearted, understanding soul who are willing and able to help donate to my struggling fight to battle my un-curable Endometriosis.

Words can’t even express how grateful and blessed I am for all the support, love, thoughts and prayers I have received so far. I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Any donation is very much appreciated.

I hope all stay safe, well and healthy!

God bless

Kindest Regards,
