Hi all, I'm Rob Oliver, and I'm the guardian of The Southwest Battle of Britain Memorial down at Bowleaze Cove, near Weymouth in Dorset. With your help I'm hoping to replace a memorial bench which is nearly five years old and had a few temporary fixes over the years, but sadly it's now being held together with bolts.

I hate to guess the number of people who have sat on this bench over the years, looking out across the bay, and remembering those who gave their lives for us during the Summer of 1940.

The Southwest Battle of Britain Memorial is not run by a charity or organization, it's self funded by myself, and small donations received by members of the public.

So, I'm asking for your help to raise the funds to replace the current bench with a new bench, which has been designed for the 85th Anniversary of The Battle of Britain, as in the photo below.
