If you have found yourself on this GoFundMe page then you probably know and love Travis, JeLynn, Avery, and Carson Crane. If you do not know the Cranes, then you have likely been touched by someone who does know this amazing family. Travis and JeLynn are Raleigh natives who have dedicated their lives to serving our community, and now it is time for the community to come together and support them.

Over the holidays, Travis became very ill with what was thought to be pneumonia. After several weeks of not getting better, Travis underwent several rounds of scans and tests. Unfortunately, results showed that Travis is battling lung cancer (never a smoker) that has metastasized to his brain. His condition is life-threatening, but he is receiving the absolute best care from an incredible team of doctors.

Travis can be lovingly described as a curmudgeon with a heart of gold. His quick wit and sense of humor is truly unmatched. He is an avid hockey fan and active hockey dad. He typically leads a private life even though he works for the public: He would likely hate this fundraising effort but ultimately we decided he will have to be OK with it because people love him and want to help (sorry Travis!)

This one-of-a-kind father, husband, brother, son, friend, and colleague has a long road ahead, but we know he can beat this and we ask you to join us in supporting his fight. Funds raised from this campaign will go directly to JeLynn to assist with Travis' medical care and recovery, and to support the family through this difficult time.
