Help Dalton Battle Cancer for Hope, Life & Love

DALTON'S STORY
Like most young adults, life is simple: one grows up, establishes a career, falls in love, begins a family, and delights in the fruits of youth. For 28 year-old Dalton, this trajectory came to an alarming halt, where the natural progression of life stops and the struggle for survival becomes reality.

In January 2023, Dalton was diagnosed with stage IV gastric cancer. Even though Dalton leads a healthy life rich in exercise, wellness, and dietary discipline, it was apparent that cancer does not discriminate.

After 9 rounds of the best chemo and immunotherapy at the max dosage, he nearly eradicated the tumor and became a candidate for the state-of-the-art surgery: partial gastrectomy plus HIPEC. In June 2023, he woke up to amazing news - he was disease free! He continued his treatment with 3 more rounds of chemotherapy and ongoing monthly infusions of immunotherapy. Each subsequent CT scan came back clear confirming the prognosis.

In June 2023, Dalton celebrates the disease-free prognosis post surgery.

THE BATTLE CONTINUES
The day after Christmas, he went to the ER to investigate strange symptoms. The CT showed a blockage in his small intestine. Initial biopsies were negative for malignancy; however, another surgery was necessary to fix the complication, which is a common instance after the intensive surgery Dalton endured in June. He woke up to devastating news - the blockage had to be bypassed because the cancer was back.

Dalton's battle continues. As a healthy, strong, and determined individual he is choosing to fight, once again. He is pursuing second opinions on surgery and treatment options from the leading medical centers in the USA such as MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic, and Memorial Sloan Kettering.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Dalton's support system made up of his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and significant other call upon their close friends, relatives, and community to bring awareness to this disease as a whole, which currently affects 1 in 3 Americans in their lifetime. Dalton welcomes support in any form: kind words, resources, information, and contacts - each contribution is profoundly appreciated to ease the burden of this effort. If you know someone who is a specialist in this area of medicine or someone who has experienced similar encounters with gastric cancer, please contact us as we continue to gather information to aid in the fight.

CONTRIBUTION DETAILS
Your contributions will go towards interstate travel, lodging, and medical expenses for continued treatment. All unused proceeds will be donated to a cancer research organization of Dalton's choosing for the brighter medical outcomes and success of future generations. Perhaps, one day, our children and our children's children will brush off cancer like the common cold.
