Battle for Bud

On the night of July 3rd, Bud Waldie- a beloved friend, father, significant other, and neighbor, had an unfortunate accident with a firework. They had just gotten home from spending the afternoon at a BBQ with family when his 8 year old step son found what they thought was a smoke bomb at the end of their driveway. Bud lit it and it immediately exploded, causing life changing injuries.

After a 6 hour surgery on his dominant hand, they ended up amputating 2 fingers (his pointer and middle fingers). The remaining fingers on that hand are severed at various knuckles along with injuries to his other hand, severe burns across his abdomen and flash burn to his eyes. 

Bud and his girlfriend Brittany have 6 children between the two of them. Brittany is now the sole provider for this family of 8 while he does months of physical therapy for his hand and subsequent surgeries that are to come. 

It is unfortunate when accidents like this occur, but it is also uplifting to see  it bring out the best in our community as we help a family in need. 

We are trying to raise as much money as we can for Bud and his family, while he is out of work, so they can focus on his recovery - and not the endless bills that will continue to roll in. Absolutely no amount is too little to contribute.
